Do Parku KHAO-SOK http://www.khaosok.com/ wybierałem się już podczas pobytu w Tajlandii w 2006 r. Wówczas jednak więcej czasu spędziłęm na wyspach w zatoce i zabrakło czasu. Tym razem z góry zamówiłem w http://www.limestonelaketours.com/tours.html 2 dniowy pobyt w Parku wraz z dowozem z Khao Lak i odwiezieniem do portu w Krabi skąd dalej chciałem popłynąć na Phi-Phi aby uniknąć kłopotliwych przesiadek z czwórką dzieci w lokalnych busikach. Wybór okazał się trafny a 2 dni w parku to był jeden z highlights of the trip. Aczkolwiek pogoda byłą typowo monsunowa tzn. w zasadzie lało co dzień, to jednak podkreślało to tylko w mojej ocenie właśnie charakter lasu tropikalnego, a chwile spędzone w rafting hauses na Chieow Laan Lake zaliczam do absolutnie topowych miejsc i chwil jakie przeżyłem w jakiejkolwiek podróży kiedykolwiek.
W parku spędziliśmy tylko 2 noce jedną w http://krabidir.com/artsriverviewlodge/, a jedną własnie na tratwach na jeziorze Chieow Laan.

Guided canoe trip follows the Klong Sok River (or the Klong Phanom River if water levels are low on Klong Sok) for approx. 1.5 hours. The guided jungle trek will take you along one of the National Park's jungle trails, visiting a swimming hole (and waterfall in rainy season). The Elephant trek follows a gentle jungle river to a swimming spot (which in rainy season also features a waterfall) - on the elephants for approx. 2 hours.
